Greg West USA Skeleton

Greg West is a 31 year old Springfield, Missouri native and Gulf Shores, Alabama transplant, who got involved in the sport of skeleton after watching the event in the 2010 Olympic Games.  At the urging of his roommates, West filled out a recruitment application and was surprised to hear from a development coach a few weeks later.  West immediately took to the sport and was invited to live at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York that winter. West continued to improve at an accelerated pace and was sent on the America's Cup Tour after only 6 weeks of sliding and culminated the season with an 8th place finish at US National Championships.  West's rise continued the next season when he finished 6th at US Team Trials and was selected to the US National Team during his second season. The highlights of this season included two World Cup appearances (Whistler and Calgary) and a BRONZE at 2015 US National Championships. He most recently took 6th in the 2016 US National Championships and is looking forward to an intense off-season training regiment leading up to US Team Trials in October.
